Greetings and Salutations!

Greetings and Salutations! Welcome to my blog.

First off I am not a trained professional. Everything I say here in my blog is only a reflection of my personal research, opinion, and ideas. I am not a professional athlete and I am not being payed for my opinion. If for some reason this ever changes I will be sure to indicate that in my blog.

Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Mary. In 2014, I'm embarking on an exciting quest. During the month of May I will be turning 30. Up until this point I've done a lot of things but haven't really accomplished any of my life goals.

Here is a little bit about what I have done. I have 3 amazing children. They keep me on my toes. We homeschool and as a result have a lot of great adventures through out our days! I hope I get the chance to share some of these exciting side-trips on our journey.

My husband Kyle is one of the most amazing and supportive men out there. Ky and I have overcome so many obstacles during the decade we have been together. Relationships and marriage aren't always pretty or easy but they are so worth it if you are willing to work hard and stick it out through the thorns. Ky has been a good sport. He goes along with my whims. He has tried every protein powder, food trend, and crazy concoction I come up with. From time to time he might even get a word in here. He inspires me to keep working towards my goals and chasing after my dreams. Without his constant encouragement I'm sure I wouldn't be as close to my goals as I am today.

So why am I making this blog? My entire life I have had one thing going for me, I'm pretty dang smart. I love to learn and share what I learn with others. I adore reading, video games, brain teasers, and pretty much anything educational. This gift along with my passions for changing my life through fitness and nutrition have brought me here to share it with you.

I'm going to change my life whether I blog about it or not. Why not help as many people along the road as I can? Plus I love hearing from you. I love being challenged and asked questions. I love reader responses. That is how I grow as a person.

Now I have this particular passion for a reason. You see, I have struggled with obesity and feeling like I just wasn't good enough my entire life. I have been bullied, teased, and discouraged from reaching my full potential by so many. I have fought really hard and most of the time alone to overcome vicious lies I believed about myself. I don't think anyone should have to do that.

Someone once told me, "No one cares about what happened to you." I don't want anyone to feel the way I felt after that cruel junior high boy said those words to me. You are not alone. You do not have to face the giants in your life without support. You are a giant slayer and I am here to not only teach you but show you how to do it.

My journey has been a tough one with lots of twists and turns, ups and downs but along the way I have discovered a lot about myself. Join me as I take on the next leg of the journey!

For now remember to just keep running!
