Three kids piled in the back of a fully packed Chevy Equinox. Air Conditioning is running, music playing, and the sun is rising. Excitement is in the air as we roll out to ride 10 hours in a car on our way for our second family vacation.
I am excited for our second family vacation. We are planning an amazing road trip where our kids will get to go through the mountains, put their feet in the ocean, and see our nations capital. Family vacations are a time of excitement, bonding, and sometimes fighting.

Our first family vacation was to the mountains in Tennessee. We drove in a car for 14 hours. Our kids were little so the car ride wasn't as big of a deal. They mostly slept. We drove from early in the morning until late at night and as usual we left late. Our trip was worth every moment in the car. We made great memories and spent time with amazing friends.
This years trip will give us a chance to connect with four different sets of friends. We will see good friends from high school, roommates from college, and friends from college. I cannot wait to introduce my children to their children and get the opportunity to spend time making memories of all of us together.
