Uploading: Downloading Vacation

Yesterday afternoon my little family pulled back into the driveway of our home. We have had an extraordinary, difficult, fun, rewarding trip. 9 days of bonding, laughing, fighting, and heat were mashed together during our road trip. Right now I am still processing everything that happened.

The nature all around us was outstanding. I did not get to spend enough time immersed in the ocean or surrounded by mountain gorges. The roads ran thrills up and down my spine. I do not yet have the words to describe our adventures. This is the beauty of uploading.

As we went along our trip I snapped hundreds of pictures. Every night I would take a few moments and upload all of our pictures from that day. These snapshots bring back the emotions and feeling from our trip. I uploaded them to Facebook to not only share them with the people I love but also have a digital scrapbook full of memories. I am terrible at keeping real scrapbooks. In my 35 years of life I have only made one and my daughter promptly tore it apart when it was given to her as a memory book. Facebook allows me t o save those memories that might be thrown into a box or stuffed under the bed.

Photos are great but another way I process information is through writing. I love to write my feelings and emotions from the trip. This is what I am processing now. I will share my thoughts and memories as I go but for the moment I need to steep with my thoughts like a hot cup of tea.
